Volunteer and Intern Positions

 Volunteers and interns are an essential part of the IIA's mission.  Make a Difference today in the lives of new Americans.  Volunteer and be a part of helping a newly arrived refugee or immigrant family adjust to life in Akron.

To become a volunteer or intern simply follow these steps.

1. Read our current volunteer and intern opportunities; Education, Refugee resettlement
2. Complete and return the volunteer application; For internships, please submit a resume and cover letter along with the volunteer application.  Internship positions require a minimum of 5 hours per week for 15 weeks.
3. Contact 330-376-5106 ext. 10 for information about our next Volunteer Orientation.
4.  Receive the necessary training.
5. Begin your assignment.
