Job Seekers
Through Employment Services, the IIA offers New Americans the opportunity to secure permanent and unsubsidized employment that is appropriate to each individual. All clients are foreign-born, naturalized citizens or recent immigrants, all lawfully admitted to the United States as permanent residents with full employment authorization from the U.S. government.
- Clients receive assistance in finding permanent employment with health insurance and other meaningful benefits to assist them in achieving self-sufficiency.
- Clients learn job keeping strategies and receive either direct assistance in keeping their job or assistance in acquiring skills training or other means to improve their employment situation.
- Approximately 70% of our clients are expected to find jobs and to keep their jobs for more than six months. Over 90% of our clients become self-sufficient within one year.
