A Message from the Executive Director
We are pleased
to showcase our vital volunteers who were recognized
for their service at the United Way of Summit County's 9th Annual Volunteer Celebration in April.Sergio Carano, Donna Early,
Kevin Hawes, Svetla Morrison, Cherri Passell, Carl Pfromm and Stephanie Siciarz
contribute countless hours in teaching, creating homes for new refugees and
finding the resources and materials to do this, as well as providing leadership
on the International Institute’s Board of Directors. As a nonprofit, we know that volunteers are
essential to the good work that we do.They provide the valuable resources to fill gaps in people power and assist
in developing community partnerships that advance our mission. They are a precious treasure that allow us to
meet the overwhelming needs of our community.
Volunteering is
a core value of American life.It is our
individual passion that motivates us to become engaged within our
community.The sense of helping one
another to make a better world gives each of us the satisfaction of “paying it
forward.”
Volunteers
enrich all of our lives knowing and working with them. We congratulate our
“ambassadors’ for their great work and contributions they make on a daily basis
to the Institute and celebrate ordinary people doing extraordinary things to
improve our community.
